No visiting but living lets say for a couple of years in different countries. I've lived in Qatar (muslim country), South Africa, etc. I came back from these experiences changed. I live in Canada and I can say that Toronto is no longer safe because of crime. Vancouver has seen a fair share of crime because of East Indians, etc... I used to be able to go out late at night downtown when I was young but my daughters cant. Right now in Canada there is a case called: "The group of 18" that are in the news (quietly) that tried to blow up our financial district, the stock exchange and were contemplating beheading the Prime minister while vidéotaping it to show their Muslim friends of Al Qaeda! I dont know about you but these young guys that are naturalized Canadians take their orders from different Muslim countries. Some ethnic groups are a definite asset to keeping our peaceful way of life. I love that I can go out without veiling myself and not being treated like an animal. I love my freedom and having the same rights as a man. My bubble has been burst a long time ago. It was a difficult reality check because I too lived a feeling in my heart that we are all born equal and should treat our neighbors like we would like to being treated. But, if you go live in other countries you soon find out how hateful these other communities are towards us. They do want to harm us. They truly believe that Christians are evil. I used to listen to the Quran on TV in Qatar and the message was that in the love of Allah it was OK to kill us! I kid you not. They also blast this info on loudspeakers during prayer. It was very scary to see such hate towards us. You and I will never change their mentality in our life time but I want my kids to inherit the same quality of life that you and I had. I could keep on writing more here. But my eyes are going to fall out any minute now LOL

Anyway, take care!

Anne-MarieA 2 Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15210451903434090202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1651482149036394430.post-58533400120455834572010-04-25T22:40:44.158-07:002010-04-25T22:40:44.158-07:00I like your point of view. I get so heated when I thin...I 100% agree with you. I get so heated when I think about all of this but never say a word. and I believe that when they make decisions in the law based on church, I get upset. America represents different cultures and different religions. Why should laws be based on one sole religion? I dont know your personal views on same sex marriage but I am for it. I dont care who marries who!!! To me, love is love. I personally wouldnt marry a woman, but who am i to tell someone they cant marry a certain gender. that to me, is even saying something like dont marry a certain race, or religion, they are all preference. not my business. I think America stands for freedom in the neutral sense. They should be allowed to marry whom ever. and women with pro choice. No one says you have to go do it, but it gives the option to other women to do it. I think mothers who didnt want to ever be mothers become resentful towards their children and those children become rebellious and sometimes even criminals. Obviously thats not always the case on either side but America is about choices. If you ever can, read Freakonomics. Amazing book.Lyssahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03343830915227040062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1651482149036394430.post-12726567216393127342010-04-25T22:39:04.880-07:002010-04-25T22:39:04.880-07:00Great post, my courageous friend.Great post, my courageous friend.Michelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00575033418347205334noreply@blogger.com
