The Busiest Shopping Day Of The Year

Those of you who know me, know I am NOT a morning person! Except for one day a year. The day after Thanksgiving. I get up before the crack of dawn and go shopping. Yes, I'm one of those crazy people! But it's so much fun!

In Michigan I actually talked a friend into going with me. (Miss you Linda). Sometimes I go with family, sometimes I just go alone. I've even gotten up, gone shopping for a couple of hours, came home, gotten back in bed, before anyone else was up.

So, who's with me?

Happy Shopping!

  1. I went ONCE! Too many scrooges and mean, nasty, evil people out there. I go for fun, not to tear people's hair out! Maybe someday I'll try again....we'll see....

    Have fun!

  2. Hi Starlet*,

I miss you too and remember our shopping days with great fondness. I've tried to go shopping on 'Black Friday' without you but it just isn't the same. The one exception would be last year. Jonny wanted to get a computer that was offered at a ridiculous low price and he was willing to sit outside, in 10 degree weather all night, waiting to get this laptop. As a mother I couldn't bear the thought of him out there all alone (with about 300 other nuts), so I took pity on him and joined him at about midnight. It was a very long, cold night - but fun just the same. We created a memory that will last a lifetime. And, isn't that really what being a mother is about...making memories for and with your children?

I definitely recommend finding a friend whose company you really enjoy (even at 4am) and making a morning of it. It can be great fun and sometimes you really can find a good deal!

Hope you had a good time this morning and got lots of great deals. I hope you didn't have to sweat too much while waiting in line. I know you secretly miss standing out in the cold, arctic weather of Michigan.

    love yous,
    LindyLou

  4. Stopping by from SITS...whew, did you get any good deals this morning?? I went out and didn't have the oomph to really snag anything great. You've got some great posts! Love your letter to Mother Nature!

It was nice to meet you! ;)
