Lung Cancer (It's Not Just For Smokers Any More!)

They found a spot on my mom's lung. They've Biopsied it, and it is cancer. She is having surgery this Friday (March 20th) Please pray for her. I would greatly appreciate it. She'll be in the hospital for about a week following the surgery. She is understandably very worried about it. She has never been a smoker and it just doesn't seem fair does it.
My son, keep you father's commands and do not forsake your mother's teaching. Bind them upon your heart forever; fasten them around your neck. When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you. For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the corrections of discipline are the way to life, (Proverbs 6:20-23)

  3. Star, I am so sorry to hear of your mother's cancer. Please know I will be praying. I've been in your position -- that valley is dark and scary, but God IS faithful. He is holding your mom and you in his loving arms. May you sense His indescribable peace.

  4. My Mom came through the surgery very well. They were able to do it laproscopicly (sp) which they didn't think they were going to be able to do, so that means less recovery time for her. Thank you all so much for praying for her and for our family. Prayer Works!

  7. I am very, very sorry to hear this, Star!

It's the second-hand smoke, I'll bet. You're better off being a smoker than smelling the smoke second-hand!
