Yes, I made my kids line up in the cut out truck!
(They are 12-19, don't tell them they are too old for that kind of thing!)

It was Fall brake from school, so we took a day & went to the Pumpkin Patch. Each kid picked their special pumpkin that would be just right for their idea to carve. Their ideas get better & better every year! There is tons of patterns now you can down load off the Internet. But most of theirs they did free hand!
And Linus & Sally!
And Snoopy & Woodstock!
Carving away!
Gooey!
Lexi found a pattern for a really cute Hello Kitty design. Erica did a Peace sign! Olivia did a Hawaiian Hibiscus, and Kyle did the Hang Loose sign! Zach stuck with the more traditional Jack-O-Lantern! (which suits his personality!)

We took home all the pumpkins, and after much consideration & debate, the designs were chosen. We carved and scooped out the goop, Salted & baked the Pumpkin seeds. Yum!

You celebrate Halloween???? Ok, NOW you are OFFICIALLY the COOLEST pastor family, EVER!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI just love family pumpkin carving. Good for you for keeping the tradition alive.
ReplyDeleteOh Charity, your every comment makes me smile! :) Yes, we do celebrate Halloween. I love anything that encourages my kids to use their imagination! I loved dressing up as a kid, & having my kids dress up. I feel like it doesn't have to be a negative or evil thing. But, that's just my personal opinion.
