My Christmas Reading List

You know how I love to read. I am always reading a book! Well, I've shared my Summer Reading List before, so I though why not my Christmas Reading List?! Every year at Christmas time I read Christmas themed books. I love everything about Christmas, so of course my reading list would reflect that!

I just finished Love Walked In. I started it thinking it was a fall time book, but it turned out to be a Christmas time book as well. I really enjoyed the style of writing, and the story line. At times you think you know how it will turn out, but, you'll be wrong. (That doesn't happen to me often, but it did with this book.) There is some language in it & adult themes, so be warned. But, It is a good book.

For my wedding Anniversary in October, John (who knows my love of reading, and my love of Christmas) Bought me this book: On Strike for Christmas. I am just starting it. It sounds like a really cute story and a fun read. Can't wait to dive in wholeheartedly.

I got this book last Christmas & put it away for this year. Christmas Jars. If you've read it let me know what you think of it. It sounds interesting.

And of course if you're looking for a good book to read, there is always my favorite book of all time: Little Women. With it's famous opening line of "Christmas won't be Christmas without any presents" I highly recommend it.

What good books are you reading this Christmas season?

  1. aaahhhhh....Little Women....haven't we all feasted on this classic at least once before? :)

When I was little, I likened myself to Amy and Jo mixed together. :) Jo was a writer and Amy was all the other things...hehehehehe....

who did you liken yourself to when you were little, reading this book, Star? :)

  2. Oh Charity, we have so much in common. I've read Little Women as a girl, a teenager & as an adult. And Loved it every time!

I loved Jo, but she was too tomboyish for me, I was always a cross between Meg & Amy! (Beth was just too perfect!) :)

  3. Hi Star,
Your references to Little Women make me want to read it again. Likely the last time I read it was before you read it the first time ... way-back-when :).

Amanda just gave me a book she thought I would enjoy, The Christmas Hope by Donna VanLiere. It looks like a sweet easy read -- I'll let you know.

  6. I loved On Strike for Christmas. It was a fun read. I loved the authors style of writing & the way she referenced all the great Christmas movies, everything from It's a Wonderful Life to The Family Man. (And you know how I love my Christmas movies!) I will definitely read more of her books.

And Paige, you were right, I too loved the book Christmas Jars! Great story. I for sure had a great Christmas reading list this year!
