Thankful Thursday: Daughters-in-law

We've all heard that old saying;
"A Son is a Son, till he takes a Wife, a Daughter is a Daughter for the rest of her Life!"
As a Mother of Sons, that's a scary thought.

 Well, I am Happy to report, it is not the case!
My son's wives have become an important part of our family!

Today is Kendra's Birthday!
She is Fun, Caring, and has given us the gift of our first Grand baby! :)

 Katie's Birthday was this month as well.
She's Smart, Loving, and will soon be bringing our second Grand son into the world!

Both of my Daughters in Law are Beautiful and Funny,
Sweet and Strong Women.
(It's almost as if I raised them myself!) :)

I am proud to have them as part of our Family!
And for them, I will always be Thankful!

Thankful Thursday: Being a Glam-ma

 It is November. And you know what that means; Thankful Thursday is back. Every Thursday in November we talk about things we are Thankful for. And to start off this Year, I have something Amazing to be Thankful for . . .

 That's right, believe it or not, I have become a Glam-ma! On August 31st, the world as I knew it changed! My Baby Boy had a Baby Boy.

Ashton Micah entered the world in a rough way, He gave us a scare and had to be flown by helicopter from Page, Arizona to Flagstaff, to a larger Hospital.

 Our tiny little fighter. He and his Momma had a pretty hard go of it for awhile. But finally they started getting better and Ashton started gaining weight.

Thankfully, Both Mommy and Baby are Healthy now! He is just the Sweetest little guy. He is a Five and a half hour drive from us, but I've been able to see him every month so far.

Our little Man was Woody from Toy Story for his first Halloween. Cutest thing ever!

 Yes, I have something extra special to be Thankful for on this first Thankful Thursday of 2017! Glamma's Boy. I Love you so much and am so Thankful you have joined our Family! <3 br="">

Where The Wild Things Are Baby Shower

Our second Grand Baby, a Boy, is Due in November.
To Celebrate we threw one "Wild" Party!!
All based on the Classic Children's Book;
Where The Wild Things Are
by: Maurice Sendak

We used the Book with lots of greenery.
My Daughter in Law's Mother & Best Friend are very creative!
Here are a few pics . . .

A Taco Bar along with lots of yummy Mexican Food.
Fruit & Sweets Galore!

We played the Classic Clothespin Game.
And a couple other games based on "Wild Things."

We had about 45 ladies, or more helping us celebrate.
Each were asked to sign & leave a little note for the baby in his own copy of the book!

Gift Ideas;
She received so many wonderful things!
Our little boy will be very well dressed, well read & cared for!
I framed some pages out of the book for the Nursery wall.
Mamma's sister in law created a bear riding a motorcycle out of needed baby items!

Thank you to everyone who came and helped with the Shower.
Thanks to you we are ready for Baby!
Can't wait to meet our little King of All the Wild Things!
