The 12 Days Of Christmas Movies: Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

"You better watch out. You better not cry, you better not pout. I'm telling you why, Santa Claus is coming to town." This movie was one of my childhood favorites!

It gives us a story of how Santa may have come to be. An orphaned baby ends up being raised by an Elf family named Kringle. The nearby town of Sombertown is run by the Mayor Burgermeister-Meisterburger. Who I remember as pretty scary! There is also Winter Warlock to contend with. Kris sneaks into town & hides toys (which have been outlawed) in the children's socks hung to dry by their fireplaces.

"Toys are hereby declared illegal, immoral, unlawful
And anyone found with a toy is his possession will be placed under arrest
and thrown in the dungeon. No kidding!"

"Put one foot in front of the other
and soon you'll be walking out the door!"

Kris also meets the local school teacher, Beautiful Jessica, who shares his love for the children. She helps him, they fall in love, and she becomes better known to us as Mrs. Claus! He also wins over the Burgermeister when he gives him a Yoyo! Men will be boys! And they do love their toys! :)
"What would happen if we all tried to be like Santa
and learned to give as only he can give:
of ourselves, our talents, our love and our hearts?
Maybe we all could learn Santa's beautiful lesson
and maybe there would finally be Peace on Earth and good will toward men."
