In Michigan I actually talked a friend into going with me. (Miss you Linda). Sometimes I go with family, sometimes I just go alone. I've even gotten up, gone shopping for a couple of hours, came home, gotten back in bed, before anyone else was up.
So, who's with me?

I went ONCE! Too many scrooges and mean, nasty, evil people out there. I go for fun, not to tear people's hair out! Maybe someday I'll try again....we'll see....
I miss you too and remember our shopping days with great fondness. I've tried to go shopping on 'Black Friday' without you but it just isn't the same. The one exception would be last year. Jonny wanted to get a computer that was offered at a ridiculous low price and he was willing to sit outside, in 10 degree weather all night, waiting to get this laptop. As a mother I couldn't bear the thought of him out there all alone (with about 300 other nuts), so I took pity on him and joined him at about midnight. It was a very long, cold night - but fun just the same. We created a memory that will last a lifetime. And, isn't that really what being a mother is about...making memories for and with your children?
I definitely recommend finding a friend whose company you really enjoy (even at 4am) and making a morning of it. It can be great fun and sometimes you really can find a good deal!
Hope you had a good time this morning and got lots of great deals. I hope you didn't have to sweat too much while waiting in line. I know you secretly miss standing out in the cold, arctic weather of Michigan.
so i sent shopping hubs into the frenzy and he came home with the goods and a venti bold with hazelnut and cream. is that the perfect man, or what?
Hope your shopping day was fun!!
Stopping by from SITS...whew, did you get any good deals this morning?? I went out and didn't have the oomph to really snag anything great. You've got some great posts! Love your letter to Mother Nature!
It was nice to meet you! ;)
It's one of those things you just can't miss. It only comes once a year and it's so funny!
